  FACING DANGERS AND DISASTERS -FINAL NOTES  HEEDING THE WARNINGS BUT BE WARY OF FEARS - Take the alarms and warnings seriously, but watch the suspicious fears. Jesus admonished us to know the times we live in ( Matthew 16:3 ), and to watch and pray. Pay attention to what is going on, be prepared, but do not be driven by the fears of men. "Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear , and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the One you are to regard as Holy; He is the one you are to fear; He is the one you are to dread."   WHAT ABOUT DISASTERS THAT COME SUDDENLY WITHOUT APPARENT WARNING? "For man also knows not his time: as the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them." Ecclesiastes 9:12 DOES GOD WARN US?   YES, HE DOES! "Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets." Amos 3:7. All throughout the Bible, the prophets give such warnings to individuals, rulers, and nations. In Acts 11:28, Agabus (a prophet) warned of a coming famine. He also warned Paul of coming chains and captivity Acts 21:10-14. According to the Scriptures of the Bible, WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED to someone. Apparently someone was not listening and/or not transmitting the warning, or people were not receiving the warning. We all have to ask ourselves, "Am I listening and paying attention?"                  ...

  HOW DOES THE CROSS FIT INTO GOD'S PLAN OF REDEMPTION? LET ME FIRST CLARIFY SOMETHING. THERE WAS NOTHING MYSTICAL ABOUT THE ITEM THAT GOD USED ( A CROSS ), BUT RATHER THE WISDOM, RIGHTEOUSNESS, POWER, AND HIS UNFATHOMABLE LOVE FOR US THAT HE DEMONSTRATED BY JESUS' SUFFERING, DEATH, AND RESURRECTION THROUGH IT!!!   Jesus made reference to the bronze serpent ( John 3:14 ), which Moses made for those who were bitten by the fiery serpents. If they looked at the bronze serpent on the pole, they would be healed. This was an antitype of the crucifixion of Christ Numbers 21:4-9. However, centuries later, King Hezekiah had to destroy the bronze serpent because people began to worship it  ( 2 Kings 18:4 ) .              THE CROSS OF CHRIST - GOD'S PLAN OF REDEMPTION  "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18   The Cross of Christ is not just a religious symbol; it is the method by which our Lord Jesus Christ was put to death. Crucifixion was the Roman way of executing criminals and political enemies. Christians use it as a symbol and reminder of what He went through for us and identifying Who we trust: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 . But what is the significance of the cross for us today?  LET ME FIRST CLARIFY SOMETHING BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER.
