Thoughts and Considerations

                                   SLIPPING THROUGH THE CRACKS This short study is a further consideration of the topic:  "Am I My Brother's Keeper"   "Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another DAILY, while it is called TODAY; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." Hebrews 3:12-13   As time wears on and the battle for eternal souls rages, how can we actively remain valuable and effective for Jesus during these unstable and turbulent times? Over the years we have witnessed people come and go in Christ, many of whom we never really knew and perhaps forgotten, and others were very involved in our lives in one form or another. We must have a deep concern for those who seem to slip through the cracks and disappear without our notice or 'concern'(???). Perhaps we hardly notice them, or maybe they are not prominent enough to draw our atten

                                REAPING AND CONSEQUENCES (Newspaper article)     Reading over my last entry regarding the Coronavirus and the Judgment of God I was concerned that I may have approached the topics a little too casually. Neither subject is to be taken lightly. To help remedy that, I wish to give a very tiny background on the Judgments of God and the principle of sowing and reaping. The price of foolishness, presumption, ignorance, and error, can be costly and eternal.    To begin with, God has set order in the universe, both natural laws and moral laws. Regular and often even incidental violation of these has predetermined consequences. From the laws of science and probably through certain life experiences we can learn and have experienced some of the consequences when the natural laws are defied, like disregarding gravity. From the Bible and through the experiences of life itself we can learn and may have experienced some of the consequences

                                   How Do We See Ourselves?                                           (Newspaper Article)   Some years ago I was listening to a radio broadcast which caught my attention. Initially it rather amused me. Apparently a poll was taken somewhere in the US regarding the spiritual views of Americans. Little doubt we Canadians would respond any differently. As I recall, the first question was if they believed in God. Most said that they did. Next they were asked if they believed in Heaven.   Again the majority believed in Heaven and felt assured they would be going if there is one. Naturally they were asked if they believed in Hell. Fewer claimed to believe that there is a Hell, saying, “How could a loving God send a person to Hell?” The following statement is what I found amusing.
