WHY THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS IS SO IMPORTANT (This was also published in the local newspaper) “And if Christ is not raised, your faith is vain, you are yet in your sins…” In my last article ‘Why the Cross?’ we discussed that the biggest issue between us and God is our sin which separates us from Him, and that the just payment for sin is death. Yes He does forgive, but the wrongs had to be made right before a holy and just God. He provided in Christ Jesus, through the shedding of Jesus’ life’s blood on the cross, payment for the sins of all mankind if we so accept it. So why is Jesus’ resurrection so important? Don’t we all just die? Not in this case! Jesus’ Resurrection is PARAMOUNT because it proves: - That God accepted His sacrifice. - That Jesus Christ was sinless and innocent, so death could not hold Him. - That He is the Son of God and not just a man, since no mere man could pay for the sins of the wo
