WHAT IS HEAVEN LIKE

                                         What is Heaven Like
Since I have never been there, the best anyone can do is derive our very poor and obscure perspective from what we can glean from the Bible and what God has revealed about Himself. That alone is an amazing and exciting journey.

“But as it is written,’ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him.’” 1 Corinthians 2:9

“And he said unto Jesus, ‘Lord, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom.’ And Jesus said unto him, ‘Verily I say unto you, today you shall be with me in Paradise.’” Luke 23:42-43

Before you proceed I would like to venture to say that what I have written here, doubtlessly, is infinitely inferior to what Heaven is actually like. We will know went we get there, and in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour, we shall!

This topic is something everyone has wondered about, and that God has left for us to accept by faith until He takes us home; however, He has left us with some knowledge of what He has provided for us through the Holy Scriptures, the Bible. Although the Book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible, gives us a small glimpse of what we can expect in Heaven, yet through the knowledge of God and the Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible, we can also glean some amazing insight. By referring to these alone, we know it is beyond our most wonderful dreams and our greatest imaginations.

 - Heaven is God’s home,  2 Chronicles 6:21, and since God is the Infinitely Brilliant and Amazing Designer and Creator, Perfect in knowledge, wisdom, power, and by observing the glory and beauty of this current universe, we can only imagine the unspeakable beauty and glory of Heaven where everything is perfect and nothing is corruptible.

- Heaven is not under the curse of sin and is therefore untouched by corruption, decay, death, and destruction. Romans 8:20-21

- Heaven is a Holy Place because God is Holy, and sin cannot dwell with Him Psalm 5:4, Habakkuk 1:13,  so we know that there is no sin, evil, impurity,  corruption, or even temptation, in Heaven. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6:10, which also means no more fighting and war.

- Heaven is Pure because it has no curse of sin. Consequently, there is no more death, sorrow, crying, nor pain, which further means no more sickness, disease, or suffering of any kind. Revelation 21:4

- In Heaven our knowledge shall be perfect “For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face, now I know in part, but then shall I know even as also I am known.” 1 Corinthians 13:12

- Heaven is filled with God's Presence and the fruit of His Holy Spirit – love, joy, peace, Romans 14:17, Galatians 5:22-23, and because God is Love, we will be fully  dwelling in love, 1 John 4:16

- Heaven's Citizens are Immortal! John 3:16, Romans 2:7, John 11:25-26

- In Heaven there are myriads of angels, heavenly beings, animals (horses for sure), and the spirits of just men made perfect (the saints/believers who have gone before us). Hebrews 12:22-23, Revelation 6:1-2...

- In Heaven there are trees, and plants, and structures and we will have our own dwellings, and the City of Jerusalem which is made of pure gold, jasper, and precious stones, with gates of pearl... John 14:1-3, Revelation 21-22
There will be music, colour, and pure, holy worship to GOD.

 - In Heaven the GREATEST and Most IMPROTANT ASPECT is GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF the CREATOR OF ALL THINGS, and HIS SON, OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. That is Their Home and here we will see HIM and be with HIM FOREVER, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see GOD." Matthew 5:8, "WHOM HAVE I IN HEAVEN BUT THEE?" Psalm 73:25

CONCLUSION - Heaven is an unimaginably amazing and wonderful place, our future home, our destiny, our FATHER'S House where we will be enveloped in the Loving Presence of God our Heavenly Father and His Wonderful Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, without obstruction and never again to be separated!
