A MESSAGE TO THE CHURCH
A MESSAGE TO THE CHURCH
(For the local News Paper)
During this Global pandemic many of us have
been left disoriented, frustrated, and confused, but you can be sure that we
are never helpless or without hope.
While we are waiting on God there are things
we should be diligently doing:
- Keep your daily walk with Jesus Christ
personal and fresh, and be fervent in prayer.
- Be consistent in your Bible reading
and study.
- Live a life of faith and worship.
- Remember the call to holiness in
the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.
- When and however you can, encourage
one another daily while it is stilled called today.
- Do not engage in unnecessary
squabbles. The Scripture says, “As much as lies within you, live peaceably with
all men.
- Co-operate with the authorities where you are able. The Bible teaches, “Obey every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake.” As inconvenient and restrictive as these rules are, we must trust God for the outcome. If you feel a check in your spirit, do what you must, but keep a humble spirit.
- The Bible teaches us to pray for
our leaders that we may live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness.
- Pastors, please make every effort
to maintain contact with your people by whatever means you are able. People are
getting discouraged. With most people, especially youth, do not expect them to
come to you, you must somehow reach them.
- Let the Love of Jesus be in the
forefront of all your efforts, and wait for the Lord with patient expectation.
- Take up your cross daily = not our
will but His be done.
-Finally, to everyone, fear God and Keep
His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every
work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it
be evil.
