SERVING AS HIS SON/DAUGHTER

                                    SERVING AS HIS SON/DAUGHTER

"Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12, "You are all sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ..." "Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the Spirit Who calls out, "Abba, Father!" So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir." Galatians 3:26, 4:6-7 NIV  ,"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with al spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ." Ephesians 1:3

This unearned position as children adopted by God Almighty, as the Scripture says, is not on the basis of our righteousness or good works we have done, but through faith in His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. He sets us in His Kingdom where we are now not only citizens, but His children, and heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:15,17 NIV.  There are so many fantastic things we can say about this, more than we can ever know, but the one thing I want to emphasize is that, regardless of our role, position, status, in this world, our value is priceless. First and foremost is because we have been purchased with the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. What He paid for us is an immeasurable price.  Furthermore, now in Christ Jesus, His Holy Spirit resides in us, God is our Heavenly Father, we are His children wherever we go and in whatever we do. In other words, people may say, you are only a janitor, or only a housewife, or only a dish washer, or only a child. Yet the fact of the matter is that you are a son or a daughter of the Creator of the Universe, a prince or princess of the King of kings regardless of your status and place in this world. The things we get to do, we do for Him. I love Him so much and I am blessed to serve Him in which ever way I can and am needed, and even if all I can do is love people from a distance and pray for them, that is fantastic! Let's look at this verse: "Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He was come from God, and went to God; rose from supper, and laid aside His garments, and took a towel and girded Himself. After the He poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith He was clothed." John 13:3-5  Here, Jesus as the Son of God, in full realization of Who He really is, humbles Himself and plays the role of a servant (which He had done all along) but now showing His disciples the example of how we are to serve one another even though we are now God's sons and daughters.  When a person is secure in their identity, and knows his or her real value, even though he or she is nothing in themself, can with confidence and dignity lower themself to do the most medial tasks knowing that their task has no bearing on who they are or their value, even though we are nothing in ourselves. If that is what it takes to help others, and thus serve God, it is more than worthy. What I mean by that is that our only true value is who we are in Christ Jesus, and in ourselves we are no more or less valuable than anyone else. Our value in Jesus Christ does set us apart unto God, but not above anyone else, only free to serve and glorify Him. So out of genuine humility and love, we can serve our brothers in Christ and our fellow man in whatever they need, and we are honored and blessed to do so.  We are in no way devalued by lowering ourself, or are being lowered when we humble ourselves and serve others in love. We are Children of the living God! What is more, Jesus and God our Heavenly Father is honored and glorified and people are blessed! It is Christ in us using us and through us touching the world by whatever means He sees fit, and we get to be a part of His Heavenly plan and purpose. What an honor!!! Praise His Holy Name!!! By the way, our source and supply is from God our Heavenly Father, not man or our own skills, Matthew 6:25-34

NOR ARE WE HELPLESS VICTIMS

Furthermore, now that we are in the hand of God "...neither shall any man pluck them our of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are One." John 10:28-30 we can know and be confident that nothing can happen to us without our Heavenly Father. Jesus also said it like this when Pilate warned Him that he had the power to release Him or have Him crucified - "You could have no power at all against Me, except it were given you from above..." John 19:11 So we are not victims or helpless, broken, people, but rather wholly in the hand and under the power of God Almighty, whether we look or feel that way or not. As long as we abide in Christ, we are always on the Rock and need not be fearful nor ashamed.

NEVER BE ASHAMED OF YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST! HE LOVES YOU SO MUCH!!!
